Unpack

Load paper

  • Lift the scanner cover. If you find any paper or foreign material, remove it carefully.
  • Then, open the jam clear cover from the printer's back; if you find any foreign materials or paper, remove them carefully and close the jam clear cover.

  • If you cannot print from your Brother MFC-J6530DW printer, check whether you have kept your printer in Sleep mode. If so, press the ON button to turn on your printer.

  • If the paper is jammed in the MP tray, remove the paper from the MP tray and take out the jammed paper from in and around it.
  • Reload the paper and make sure to load it not more than the indicated limit. Then, click the Retry button to resume the printing process.
  • If the paper got stuck inside the paper tray, extend it and pull it out entirely from the printer. Then, take out the jammed paper carefully.
  • Take a stack of paper and reload it into the paper tray. Ensure to slide the edge guides correctly and verify that you haven't loaded the paper more than the indicated limit. Then, insert the paper tray into your printer.
  • Then, open the printer's rear cover and release the fuse cover by pulling the green levers.
  • Then, take out the jammed paper carefully and close the fuser cover followed by the printer's rear cover.
  • If the paper got stuck inside the printer, open the front cover and take out the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly. Then, take out the jammed paper carefully. Once you have taken out all the jammed paper, install the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly into the printer and close the printer's front cover.
  • For preventing paper jams, always make sure not to load the paper beyond the indicated limit. Whenever you load the paper into the printer, slide the paper guides against the sheets but not too tightly. Also, make sure not to load any curled, damaged, or damp paper.

  • If your printer prints blank pages, check the print quality first.
  • On your printer, press Settings> Maintenance > Improve Print Quality> Check Print Quality. Then, tap on Start.
  • Now, your printer will start to print the print quality page.
  • On this page, you can inspect the print quality of each color. If you think that the print heads need to be cleaned, press the Start option. Follow the instructions to clean the print head.
  • Once the print head cleaning process gets completed, check whether the problem is resolved. If you cannot resolve the issue yet, the problem might be with the ink cartridges. Non-Brother ink cartridges might be the reason behind the issue; so, replace the ink cartridges with genuine Brother ink cartridges and check whether the issue has been resolved.
